Daniel LeMier
Daniel LeMier, PE, boasts a rich and diverse background in structural engineering. During his tenure as a student at San Jose State University, he provided invaluable support to various engineering firms, excelling as a draftsperson and engineer. His involvement with Habitat for Humanity offered a unique opportunity to delve into residential construction techniques, granting him hands-on experience in house-building practices. In December of 1996, Daniel graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, specializing in Structural Engineering.
Post-graduation, Daniel ventured into the precast concrete industry, initially serving as a quality assurance team member. His exceptional performance led to a promotion to the engineering team, where he honed a profound understanding of concrete as a fundamental building material, mastering its inherent strengths and weaknesses. By 2000, he earned recognition as a registered Civil Engineer in California, followed by obtaining a Professional Engineer license in Colorado in 2001.
In 2012, Daniel established DL Engineering Inc., revisiting his roots in residential engineering. Within DL Engineering Inc., Daniel has emerged as an authority in foundation designs and their failure mechanisms. His expertise extends to exploring diverse options for stabilizing and repairing distressed foundations. Daniel generously shares his wealth of knowledge by presenting to forensic engineering groups, foundation inspectors, and real estate investors, educating them on identifying the root causes, their effects, and offering viable solutions for repair.
Driven by an unwavering passion for structural engineering, particularly in residential structures, Daniel has been instrumental in shaping DL Engineering into the esteemed company it is today. A member of the Structural Engineers Association of Colorado since 2001, Daniel LeMier, PE, continues to contribute significantly to the field of structural engineering.
